Lynn at the front desk was fantastic. We were there 4 days and 3 nights. Very helpful staff clean rooms. Jacuzzi was not working but they are looking into it. Close to the bus route 55 which takes you downtown. Close to Burger King, Sonic, McDonalds. Smoke shop and gas. Great locals and very friendly. The pool was nice at night to cool down in. Would stay again

Yes The Drake has a front desk, and excellent staff to assist you. It's going through changes and improving every day. It's just blocks from the airport and downtown.
I loved staying here as part of my Nashville tourist experience! The hotel is so iconic and cute, I love the exterior! As far as the rooms go, it is a pretty typical motel experience. You won't get anything super fancy but it will be clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice, and I felt safe knowing that there was someone at sitting up at the front desk 24 hours. There is a laundromat too. While I was staying there, I walked across the street and got some soul food at Carol Anne's (another spot which has a special Nashville cultural flavor).
Historic aspect...they nailed it. It has not changed much since being a motor court. The rooms were clean. But the pool was green. Everyone was very nice. It was a cool little motel. Fun to look up the movies and videos filmed on location, too.
After reading the reviews, I was skeptical. But the price I couldn't beat it and it wasn't far from the event we were in town for. It's your typical old hotel, I didn't see anything overly bothersome in our room or any of the rooms our friends/family were in (between all of us there, we had five rooms booked). All of the staff and manager we came across were all very pleasant. Keep in mind your not staying at a Hilton, your stay at an old school hotel with history. I know our group will stay again.

Me and my boyfriend stayed and had a great time! The lady at check in was so nice and helpful and shared with me that she was in active recovery. I am also recovery so it was very nice to meet someone who is on the same journey as me! The pool was clean and fun and we were so close to downtown Nashville we literally wished we could have stayed all week! I will always make the Drake where I stay when I'm Nashville thank you for the memorable weekend
